You could use raid drives to keep them from reading the actual hdd serial number. raid 0 would be the fastest, just need 2 matching drives and a raid controller if your PC bios doesn't have it built in. My 8 year old ASUS motherboard had raid option in the bios. Links die, searching does not.

But I would suggest going through this source. 2D-Map DMA Radar (WIP) It's an amazing project to go through if you want to learn. You don't actually have to compile PCILeech, MemProcFS or Leechcore yourself, it utilizes already compiled .dll files.
