If you just lost the 2 keys, you could ask a locksmith to just make you a new pair. A Kymco dealer should be able to supply replacement keys based on the lock number. .. Found a 2009 Kymco xciting 500ri listed for $1200. Seemed like a good deal cause it's a couple hundred under bluebook but seller disclosed after I replied it was in a slow speed accident. One side is scrapped up but its nothing terrible, surface damage. However the seller literally knows nothing about caring for bikes.
Power. From what others have posted, the X500 performs like the older Burgman 400s. It sounds like the 07+ Burgman 400 is actually faster. Gas mileage. Poor. You get the power of a 400, with the gas mileage of a 650or less. The 500i with fuel injection may improve that somewhat, but probably not a lot.
